9 military specialities are available: C-category driver, rifleman, machine gunner, drone operator, driver-mechanic, sniper, motor rifleman, grenade launcher and gunner-operator. No experience is required — every position includes training at a training ground.

Contract military service in the SVO zone for citizens of Botswana is open to drivers, riflemen, machine gunners, drone operators, driver-mechanics, snipers, motor riflemen, grenade launchers and gunner-operators; without experience you are also taken on and trained at a training ground. Contract registration is handled through the Russian embassy in Gaborone, the consular fee is on us, and the referent helps with documents: collects certificates, accompanies you to the MMC and the military commissariat; you submit the application in person. Service with accommodation at the unit covers the barracks or hostel, meals and travel, so there is nothing to spend at the start. If you are aiming at service with an allowance from 200 thousand, net you get from 210,000 roubles. The nearest team for arrival at the unit is being assembled now.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a scam?

You are right to ask. We take no money from candidates. Before departure you get acquainted with the text of the contract template and can study it calmly.

Why is it free for me?

Registration, travel, accommodation and meals are organised so that you pay nothing — all costs are covered by the receiving side.

Who pays my service allowance?

The Ministry of Defence, directly to you, under the contract. We take no share of your allowance.

How much will I receive?

The service allowance is from 210,000 ₽ net per month, about €2,150 at the September 2026 rate; rates change. Plus a one-off payment on signing the contract — up to 3 million roubles depending on the region and position. Accommodation and meals are free, and we pay for your travel or reimburse it after you arrive, so most of it can go to your family. The first allowance arrives one month after arrival at the unit.

What are the requirements?

The service is physical and winters are cold. You need good health and stamina — every candidate passes a military medical commission (MMC) at home and a second medical check in Russia, plus psychological screening. No military experience is required: every position includes training at a training ground.

How long does it take before dispatch?

Document check: for CIS citizens — 2–3 days, for citizens of other countries — up to 2 weeks. Then MMC and selection — 2–5 days, arrival at the unit — 1–2 weeks.

Which documents should I bring?

A valid passport is essential: EAEU citizens can use either an internal or an international passport, everyone else needs an international one. For a better paid position, bring your education and military documents: diplomas, certificates, military ID, service records, driving licence.

What do I pay for myself?

The passport, the medical check in your country and your personal spending. The consular fee, the Russian course, the medical check and MMC in Russia, accommodation, meals and the military uniform are free for you. We pay for your ticket or reimburse it after you arrive.

Are there days off and leave?

Leave is 15 days after 6 months of service. The service schedule, days off and discharge procedure are set out in the contract, and your referent goes through it with you before dispatch.

I do not speak Russian. Can I still apply?

Yes. Before service starts we run a free 1–2 week Russian course: the commands and words you need in service and preparation for certification. The referent speaks Russian and English.

What if the command breaks the terms?

Write to your referent straight away. We take it up with the military unit and push for the contract terms to be met. We stop working with units that break the contract.

Can I come with a friend or relative?

Yes. Let him write to us separately and say who he wants to serve with — we will try to send you to the same unit.
